BIOGRAPHY
Artist, Cassandra Rae, grew up in Ohio. Color and visual expression have always been a language she explored. Driven to learn more about art, especially painting, she studied at Hillsdale college in Michigan from 2006-2010 and the Florence Academy in Italy Summer of 2009.
Recently, she developed a voice with her brushes, intended to share natural experiences of human beings created by a loving and powerful God. These works are symbolic and emotional. They are personal as well as universal. We have common threads that connect us all, as we are the created.
In her twenties and even earlier Cassandra accepted many commissioned ideas and completed them as a part of her portfolio. Amongst these were many portraits, oil painted or drawn in charcoal. In her thirties she found herself on sabbatical from most tactile creation processes, but she never ceased to study with her eyes and contemplate the meaning of her circumstances. Emerging from this visually silent period was a compelling vision to make art reflecting the aforementioned theme.
You will see over these next few years a crescendo of color and representation that will embody her experiences and yet reach across cultures. Stay patient and stay tuned.
Prints will become available of original works as they unfold (are made public).
